The lymphatic system is also a critical element in the immune system and ensures that lymph is transported back into the blood stream while also carrying while blood cells and removing waste products from the body. In some cases, it is possible that there may be some sort of blockage in the lymphatic system which can therefore lead to a facial lymphatic drainage massage being necessary to ensure proper functioning of the lymphatic system. In addition to this, the drainage of the lymphatic system can lead to a reduction in swelling of the face, and some feel it leads to a more glowing complexion.
